Preparing for Science Fairs - Online Video Series

“Preparing for Science Fairs” takes the viewer through the steps in preparing a project for competition, and includes a simulation of the development of a science project. Also included are presentations on the three types of projects: experiments, studies, and innovations, with examples of student projects.

‘We hope that teachers will find this useful for all students doing science projects, whether or not they compete in a Regional Science Fair,’ says Cliff Coveyduc, program director of NS YES! (Nova Scotia Youth Experiences in Science). Produced by Prisma Productions, in partnership with Encana, a copy of the DVD have been sent to all secondary schools in the Tri-County School board. See your school-based science fair contact if you wish to borrow a copy of the DVD for use in your classroom. If teachers prefer to have their own copy,  they may request a copy of the DVD by contacting Brian Doucette by email or by telephone (749-5801). But even without a copy of the DVD, you can still view all the videos online by accessing the below links.
